What does the OHD Anywhere do?
Never worry again about whether or not you have left your garage door open. With the OHD Anywhere, you can open, close or check the position of your door from anywhere in the world. You will also receive notifications on your phone whenever someone does open or close your garage door, even if they have detached the electric opened and used the door manually. No other product like us on the market has that feature! Have a delivery person or repairman coming over but you don’t want to leave your house unlocked till they get there? You can easily open your garage door to let them in without proving your keypad code. Stored in the OHD Anywhere app, you will also have a history of each time the door was used. The possibilities are virtually endless with the OHD Anywhere!
How does the OHD Anywhere work?
The OHD Anywhere is a garage door system that communicates with your electric opener and an app on your smartphone to allow complete control of your garage door from virtually anywhere.
How many garage doors can I use the OHD Anywhere with?
The OHD Anywhere can be used with up to three garage doors. However, you will need to purchase additional sensors if you plan to use the OHD Anywhere with more than one door.
How many user can I have on the OHD Anywhere app account?
You can have up to 20 users on the OHD Anywhere app.
What cell phone/ tablet devices are the OHD Anywhere compatible with?
The OHD Anywhere is compatible with iOS 8.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. It is also compatible with android phones and tablets that are android versions 4.4 and up.
What model electric operators is the OHD Anywhere compatible with?
The OHD Anywhere is compatible with most operators that are January 1, 1993 and newer. Please note if your electric opener is newer than January 1, 1993 but does NOT have photo eyes your operator is NOT compatible with the OHD Anywhere. CLICK HERE for a full list of compatible electric openers.
Do I need wifi to run the OHD Anywhere?
Yes, you do need a strong wifi signal that will connect to the OHD Anywhere module. If you do not have a strong enough signal you can either move your router closer to the garage or purchase a wifi extender that just plugs into an existing outlet.
What type of wifi router and internet connection do I need?
Your wifi router must meet this specification: 802.11 b/g/n, 2.4GHz with the security of WEP, WPA, or WPA2.
Does the OHD Anywhere require a power supply?
The short answer is yes. It does require a standard 110 volt AC outlet located within 5 feet of the unit.
Does the OHD Anywhere require batteries?
Yes the OHD Anywhere does require batteries for the door position sensor. Yes, the kit does come with batteries! The OHD Anywhere does have a battery indicator built in and when the battery in the door position sensor is low it will come on as a solid red LED light.
Is there a warranty on the OHD Anywhere?
Of course! There is a one year warranty on the OHD Anywhere.
Will you install the OHD Anywhere or do I have to install it?
Of course, we would be happy to install your new OHD Anywhere! If however you did want to install the OHD Anywhere yourself you are more than welcome to do that as well.
